    With GSC since: The very beginning

    Favourite part of the job:
    Working with people who love this industry, and coming up with new ideas for our portfolio.

    A cultural experience that’s had an impact on you: 
    Attending in 2024 a rehearsal of ‘Silence and Rapture’ - a collaboration between the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Sydney Dance Company - was gut-wrenchingly brilliant.  That said, Performing Arts has pretty much felt like my spiritual home since I first sold a ticket at the Royal Festival Hall in 1986.

    Favourite part of the job: 
    Getting to know our clients and their venues, then working with them to ensure they can run them even more effectively using Artifax.

    A cultural experience that’s had an impact on you: 
    Whilst in Malawi I got to see a group of school children perform a dance that was native to the region, this wasn’t a touristy thing – it was actually a performance for the local town.  The pride in their culture was evident on their faces and the enthusiasm they threw into their dance was inspiring.  Gave me goosebumps.

    Favourite part/s of the job: 
    Glimpsing the amazing variety of arts and culture events on offer throughout our region, and knowing that we played a small part in helping to make them happen smoothly.  

    A cultural experience that’s had an impact on you:
    There are too many to list. Live music just makes you feel good, be it classical, folk or punk – it all tingles the spine if delivered with heart and gusto. But nothing beats creating and playing your own music with friends, that’s the real out-of-body experience!

    Favourite part/s of the job:  
    Understanding our client's technical requirements and applying technical support solutions to ensure they experience the utmost from our amazing products.

    A cultural experience that’s had an impact on you: 
    Having lived a stone's throw from the Arts Centre in Melbourne for 10 years, I was able to attend lots of performances, so it's too hard to choose one. Everything ballet, opera and orchestral!

    Favourite part/s of the job:
    Getting to know our clients, learning the intricacies of how their venues run, and seeing our thrilling industry in action. 

    A cultural experience that’s had an impact on you:
    Hamilton (I know, classic). I hadn't allowed myself to listen to the soundtrack or watch the Broadway recording before seeing it on stage and I was BLOWN AWAY. What’s been achieved by Lin-Manuel Miranda, well let’s just say, ‘I wasn’t aware that was something a person could dooo’.

    Favourite part of the job:
    For me, it’s all about the people — working with such a great team who share my passion for arts and culture, and getting to know our clients, learning about their organisations and how they’re using the system to deliver amazing events and experiences.

    A cultural experience that’s had an impact on you:
    I’ve been very fortunate to have a number of wonderful experiences to consider, but one that stands out is attending Driving Miss Daisy starring Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones. Not only were the performances outstanding, but there was something really special about being in the same room as two icons of the industry. (My husband still talks about it to this day — massive Star Wars fan!)
